Competition cooking

Have you noticed how low morale is at work recently? The recent and ongoing economic turn down has hit most of us. There are businesses closing down, banks being bailed out, and homes re-possessed by failing banks. Time to give your staff a bit of a boost, and Team Building exercises are one good way of doing it. There are hundreds of these exercises to be found on the Internet, but there’s one that stands out, and it’s great fun. Think of the TV program Ready, steady, cook! and add a twist of fun to it. This is the competition cooking with a difference organized by Wickedfood® Cooking Schools. We have two branches situated in Sunninghill and at Boksburg in Gauteng and run these fun competition cooking events for your corporate teams.

Here’s how it works. We supply an identical mystery basket of ingredients to each team, and they come up with a 3-course meal, including 2 side dishes, making up 5 to 6 dishes in total within a given time. Apart from the fun aspect, this competition cooking is a great form of teambuilding. At the same time it gives you an ideal opportunity of evaluating the abilities of different staff members to work together and solve common problems. Competition cooking can also be a novel way of entertaining clients. In all the time we have been running these events we have never had a flop. Your staff will get their hands dirty – some may never have attempted to cook before! To conclude the event the participants get to eat the food they have cooked – we guarantee a fun time will be had by all.
